Manila, Philippines — Toughness does not always need to make a statement. With its new Luxe Black 2100 collection, G-SHOCK is giving its signature ruggedness a more understated expression through sleek black finishes, subtle metallic accents and refined detailing.
The four-piece collection builds on the recognizable 2100 silhouette while introducing a more restrained design language suited to modern wardrobes. The watches are now available at G-SHOCK stores and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as through the CASIO G-SHOCK website, Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and Zalora.
The collection reflects the growing appeal of quiet luxury, a design philosophy that favors versatility, quality and subtle details over conspicuous branding. In the Philippines, the movement also connects with a wider interest in sustainability-minded design and products that emphasize longevity.
“More than just an aesthetic, quiet luxury is a mindset, and Luxe Black is G-SHOCK’s answer to it,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager of the Timepieces Division at CASIO South East Asia. “We’re keeping the durability the brand has always been built on, but expressing it through material and finish instead of visual volume. It’s a sign of where G-SHOCK is headed: toughness that can flex with how people actually want to dress, not just one fixed look.”
Rather than changing what makes the 2100 recognizable, Luxe Black refines it.
Matte black dials reduce visual noise, while redesigned hands and indexes create a cleaner look. Metallic details are deliberately positioned to provide contrast without overpowering the monochromatic treatment.
For those who prefer a more elevated everyday style, the result is a G-SHOCK that can transition between relaxed and polished outfits without losing the durability that defines the brand.
The collection features four models.
The GM-2100LXB-1A (₱17,010) and GM-2100LXB-1A9 (₱15,710) pair hairline-finished metal bezels with black ion plating and matte black dials. Silver- and gold-toned details provide subtle contrast, complemented by redesigned hands and indexes.
Meanwhile, the GA-2100LXB-1A (₱9,430) and GA-2100LXB-1A9 (₱9,430) offer a lighter interpretation with matte-finished octagonal bezels and bands, redesigned matte black dials and metallic vapor-deposited indexes.
Performance remains central to the collection. All models feature shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, world time across 48 cities, Hand Shift, double LED Super Illuminator lighting and up to five daily alarms.
Bio-based resin is also used in key bezel and band components, helping reduce environmental impact while retaining the toughness and reliability expected from G-SHOCK.
The Luxe Black 2100 Series is now available at CASIO and G-SHOCK stores nationwide and through the CASIO Philippines online store.
